Internship Frenzy

Well, I finally got accepted in a marketing consultant as an intern for 3 months.
My first month was hectic..
I didn't even have time to socialize and blend in.

But, I managed to do all the works well (I guess).
Now as I've been working for a month
I have nothing left to do. I am as free as a bird.

Tho' it's a bit awkward cause they keep paying me.

I applied for internships.

I"m 20 y.o now
and I really live my life as a 20 y.o woman.
This semester is reaching an end and
next semester will probably be my last semester at university.
I wish I could do it well.

Long time not posting anything in this blog..

I tell you something.
I find something precious this holiday... A CONSCIOUSNESS.
Yes, I think I'm in the process of reaching self-actualization.
I consume news and stuffs though they break my heart everyday.
I have politics and social issues (sometimes environmental) for dinner.
So grateful to be born in a family who care about life...

I have this high-school teenager sister who is in her puberty age
and it helps me becoming mature :)

Here's the thing.
I recently had this conversation with a friend in twitter..
Not really a conversation, actually, she kept saying contradicting things and she turned angry in the end.
I wrote something about Mr. President and Mr. Minister of Communication & Information.

"I wonder how can a president make an music album? And how can a minister reply tweets all the time? Don't they have lots of tasks to do?"

This friend of mine suddenly replied,

"Everyone needs refreshment. They're also human like us! Maybe that's the way they refresh their mind."

So I suggested the idea that before a president decide to spend lots of time refreshing himself, he'd better do something for people who had voted him.

"Hopefully they still have time to full-fill their promises, then. Cannot expect more"

She continued,

"Full-fill their promises doesn't mean they can't get their own rights to express their feeling. Like if you were a president, doesn't mean u can't play with ur cute hamster, right? Even though there are so many things to do"

Okay I agree with what she said, but it's not as simple as that.
Where in the world does a president have time to make an album, working on lyrics and music at his tenure?
Our dear Mr. President have been ruling for 2 tenures, neither in his 1st nor 2nd he has full-filled any of his promises. He's too busy refreshing himself-or-what?
So I wrote this back..

"Well, I won't ask people to vote me for what I'm incapable of.. Just saying that before making album, full-filling promises first"

Then I guess she started getting angry.
She wrote about how Indonesians complain about everything.
She replied something like..

"If you are incapable, stop complaining!"

See, she miss-understood.
What I mean incapable of doing is actually about promises.
Politicians promise everything they are incapable of doing.

So I wrote back,

"If we all stop complaining, who will fix this country? Ignorance is not the answer. Remember, absolute power corrupts absolutely"

She replied,

"When u complain something, it will be wiser if u put some solutions! Don't be NATO!"

So I wrote something short and brief to end the conversation.
It met a dead-end and I had no reason to continue.

"My solution for the president is only one. People trust, people pay.. Serve well. And for the talk, open mind. Enough :)"

It didn't stop actually, she wrote a quote that she didn't mention to me, but I read it in the timeline.

"Don't ask what you country has done to you, but ask what you've done to your country"

Well, no doubt.. I agree with that quote.
But don't you see, I don't hate the country.. It's not the country's fault.
It's the people in the government who disappoint me.

Indonesia is a big country with a huge number of population, most of them do not have the life they deserve to have and live in poverty.
We are now led by some heartless-brainless-people who robs people money.
Our president has this obsession of being famous and be worshipped.
No one really care about the life of the people, they struggle for themselves.
They are dying looking for things to eat everyday. Education is way too expensive, they can't afford.

So,
Is it wrong if we ask the government about what they have done to people who had voted for them??
People who trust them, who pay taxes... WHO PAY THEM.

No!
We must not stop complaining and just do nothing about it!
Complain with reasons... It's better than keep quiet.
Here is the thing my friends, it's really heart-breaking watching US, the new generation, careless about other things except our life.

May be you will see that we make no difference.
But I'm sure if we spread this consciousness, we are able to contribute.

Last Tuesday I watched Inception with my boyfriend
It's ubercool!!!!

Just like any other Mr. Dicaprio's movie.
Amazing plot, smart dialogue, mind-twisting... I couldn't even blink!
And all the stars that play in the movie.

I watched without guilt
Cause while my boyfriend couldn't breathe staring at Miss Marion Cotillard

I was drooling over Leonardo Dicaprio and Joshep Gordon-Levitt

They are gorgeous!!!

My fave scene is when Cobb (Leo) take Ariadne (Ellen Page) for a walk and it's actually in a dream

Being 20 is something really special.
An official grown-up..
To face all that I must get prepared.
Living in a healthy and proper way is not easy.. It takes steps.

So,
Here are the things that must be done (regularly-ever-since)

"Before I Get 20"

1. Pray (Shalat) 5 times a day
It's time for me to do what every Muslim must do.

2. Wash & Iron my own clothes
    Mum refuses to hire a house-keeper or whatsoever
    that she does all the housework stuffs together with daddy.
    As the 1st born child, I think it's my time to help them.
    At least, not bothering them with all the mess I've made.

3. Wake up early in the morning
    Well, I'm a night runner.. and that should stop now.
    I must not sleep late so I can wake up early.

4. Eat Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner

Lots of things have been going on recently

1st, I have lost 4 of my teeth.
Yes the dentist has taken all of them away.
It was painful at first, but now I only feel sad
Cause I dunno, I feel terrible... They are all in good condition.
I had to give 'em up for this braces-process.

It's super short!
I didn't plan it, I was just bored with my old-hairstyle.

Here's my 2nd post of Pulau Tidung Trip.
As I promised you... Enjoy!

Day 2 was awesome! It was snorkeling day!!! Woo-yeah
Well, the team woke up at 6 and we sailed at 7.
We were about to visit 5 islands then headed back to Jakarta.
It was behind schedule... So we skipped Tidung Kecil.

We took pics first before checking out the homestay.

The owner of this LOSMEN LIMA SAUDARA is Pak Haji Mid.
He had been really mysterious before we met him.
We talked about him a lot... and he turned out to be a nice wise old man.
Arif even made him a song "Pak Mid makan sabun.. Pak mid makan sabun" :p
We love you Pak Mid!!! ♥

We sailed by a little rocking boat.

It was windy so I did play with the wind.
Yodsa took some pics of me... with my bushy hair

And here's what we expected... Sea with shallow coral floor!!!

Sunday morning is really special for me!
It's time for my hamsters :))

Yes, every Sunday morning my daddy, my sister and I have all the hamsters out.
We clean all the cages and aquariums.
That's one o' our way of having good quality time as a family.
Daddy usually washes the cars and mummy cooks lunch.
Pure happiness ♥

Well in this post I'd like you to meet my babies.
Yes all my hamsters... I have 13 of them :)

Here is Jackie... We call her "Kubil" cause she's so annoying

She loves to bite! *that's why I used that pink mop*
She's a winter white pearl.
I did have a complete family, but they died of rat attack long time ago.
She's the only one left. Poor her...

Here goes Judith.. I was inspired by The Beatles' song "Hey Jude"

His full name is Judith Rochelle and he's a Syirian Long-Hair.
He's cute and cuddly.. My favourite!
He's the oldest and now he gets ugly. But still I love him much.

He used to be that cute ♥

This is our lovebirds... Bonnie and Clyde.
They've had 6 babies (1 RIP today, 180410) and now Bonnie is pregnant.

I named them after the world's most famous criminal lovers.
Because they are cruelly in love.. Bonnie loves to bite Clyde.
They fight a lot, but they have the hottest relationship ever.

They are unnamed... I have just known their sex this afternoon.
Two females and one male. The females kept fighting for the male.
I separated them then cause their sibling died (there were four of them).

Look they're super cute! Does anyone have good names for them?

And here's Mey Ling.. She's the daughter of Bonnie

She has a sister named A Ling.. I'll introduce her later.
Mey Ling is adorable.. She's a good mum.
She gave birth to three baby hamsters two weeks ago..
She hadn't even reached 3 months old at that time.
Clyde was cruel to force her into this incest relationship.

That's all the babies. Still so tiny.
They just opened their little eyes last week ago.
Two of them have ruby eyes -- red shiny beautiful eyes. Cool!
I haven't known the sexes cause they're untouchable.
The mum's still breast-feeding them :)

Let's meet Mey Ling's sister... A Ling.

I named them Mey Ling and A Ling cause they were born near Chinese New Year.
I love the names.. They sound cute!

Look at her! She's breast-feeding!!!
Well, she's not a good mum actually.
She has eaten her four babies *she gave birth to 5 baby hamsters*
It sounds scary right?!

I wonder, have you seen baby hamster before?
Here let me show you..

Euhh right?!

I personally think it looks like yuppie gummy candy.

Baby hamster is rich of proteins.
That's why the mum probably eats her babies.
There are possibilities.. perhaps the baby is not healthy or won't survive.
Or the food there is not enough. And may be the mum feels she couldn't take care all.
It's also possible the mum feels insecure.. She senses predators!!!
That's why when a hamster gives birth, we should stay away from the cage.
Get close to give foods and to change the water only!

Well, they're considered to be parts of my family.
We love them sincerely.. Even mum does.
She loves watching them though she complains a lot about the smell.

I'm a person with high touch culture.
I know people by touching them.. feeling them with my senses.

I know it's bizarre
Still that's the way I get familiar to people, the way I get comfortable with them.
I smell them, I touch them.. I sense people.
I can recognize my friends with closed-eyes.

Cause it's weird, you know, to have a girl smelling you..

Lesson no 1 : Never fall in unconscious love with your best friend!

I had mistaken reading my heart... and it's fatal.
I thought I had this summer fling, but I didn't.
I guess it was just an exaggerated happiness.

I realized it yesterday, when I shared my problems with mum.
She was so wise. I love her so much!
I found the answer and I was cool with it.
But then it didn't work well today that I felt uneasy with my best friend.
I was just so embarrased that he found out the rumour.

But I make it clear that I misread my feeling.
He's my bestfriend and there's no way I fall in love with him.
I already have a boyfriend, for God sake... A sweet and loving one, the prince of my dream.
I have planned to have a future with my boyfriend.
I won't let anything ruin our relationship!

Gigiw - my boyfriend - even took me on a date this eve.
We watched "Clash of The Titans" and he was so sweet hugging me all the way during the film.
I love Gigiw so much!!!! *cannot describe it with words*
It's even clearer that I've never fallen in love with anyone but my boyfriend.
Gigiw makes me feel complete, something I would never get from other boys.

So I guess I've found the silver lining which the cloud above my head had.

It's just.. I don't think my best friend get it.
He haven't texted me back.
He haven't replied any of my messages.
God, I hate this kind of person!!! *sigh*

I don't wanna lose my best friend.
I hope everything would turn normal soon.
This is getting creepy.

Greetings from Pulau Tidung - Day 1

As I promised you, readers, I'm posting stories of my trip to the islands.
:)
Ready?? Okay here we go!

Last Saturday, my friends and I went to Tidung Islands for a trip observation.
It was officially a data-collecting activity and a hidden-intentional-holiday :3
There were moi (Shasa), Arif, Riry, Ethen and Yodsa.. Yes Just the 5 of us.
They spent the night (Friday) in my house; the boys slept in the living room and the girls in the guest room.
That was fun.. It felt like having lots of siblings. Hmm I always want to have big brothers.

We began the trip from Muara Angke. The port was so stinky and filthy.
We had to catch the 6 am boat so the morning started messily look as if we were having a war.
Yodsa didn't even have a bath. Hahaa :)
Well, thank God we made it.

The boat take 3 hours to reach the island.
So we sang and chatted along the way.
I sang so much that a man offered me a record. Unbelievable!

As we arrived on the island (Tidung Besar) at 11 am. We went straight to the homestay.
It was called "LOSMEN LIMA SAUDARA".
We have contacted Pak Mid (the owner) and we'd already got a room.
There was a living room with tv, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen with refrigerator and stuffs.
Big enough for five people.
I was amazed by the backyard. It was connected to the beach, with coral flooring and
I swear Arif and I saw a little blue-tailed crocodile there. WOW!

We spent the noon interviewing local people and the opinion leader.
After we finished with data and all, we rented bicycles to stroll along the island.
The road there was really narrow and bumpy. It was made of cone-block.
Reminds me of Greece village in Mamamia the movie.
Arif rode me. And it was really funny cause our bike went crazy.
We did the "jaipong" movement with the bike... Really silly :')

The sun was nice and the breeze was even nicer.
We were in a tropical paradise, buddy! You must experience it your self :)
A man offered us coconuts and we enjoyed them so much. Amazing!
"Tidung islands are about beauty, friendliness and simplicity", Arif wrote.

We continued our journey to Tidung Kecil, crossing a long winding bridge by foot.
The scenery was magnificent!!!!
The water was so clear, you can see corals, fishes and everything there.

Tidung Kecil is an island surrounded by beach and it has forest in the core.
We had to trespassed trees and bushes to get to the beach.
Spent the rest of the day strolling around the island to look for the perfect side of the beach.
Cause it was not sandy at all, it was full of corals.
Arif gave us the wrong direction so we ended the day having our feet scratched and torn. Awfull!
But it was worthy for the pictures we've taken.

Riding the bike back to our homestay, the island look so dark.
The only lighting came from local people's houses.
That's why we could see the stars... Ahh I could spend the rest of my life stargazing.

The dinner was terrific!!!
Grilled fishes, peas, fried prawns, "sambal" were just what you need after a long day in the sun.
We also watched "Lenong" on the "alun-alun" (big yard where people gather).
It was my first time and it was super hilarious!

Sleeping with you friends was the perfect way to close the day.
We slept in the same room, side by side, with dreams in the air and smiling faces.

Today is ... hmm - Francais would say "C'est Parfait"!
I do things I like. I live life and enjoy every minute of it.
No burdens, no worries. I spoiled my heart a little.

I didn't go to the morning class cause I didn't feel like.

Instead, I woke up a bit late.
I did my assignments well and I had a wonderful breakfast. Lovely!

And today got better cause my boyfriend seemed like support it.
He's the super-important-basic element of the day.
He took me to go karaoke-ing which drove me crazily happy.

and it was cute!!!!! I bursted into tears of joy.
I sang him back a song by Tompi, "Tak Pernah Setengah Hati"

I changed the word "Kasihku" there with "Giwang ku" (my boy's name)
and I think I made him shy.. I swear I saw his cheeks turned pink. Aww
All the things happened today is still running in my head.. like a film.
The kaleiodoscope of memories. It'll be there forever ♥

A bad week...
My ion hair straightener is broken, so do my heels
(I dragged my left foot all the way from campus to dorms)

I felt sick
So I went to student health centre.
I got number 13 on waiting list... and I had to wait for a looooong time
Eventually the doctor said that I had stomach infection.

It seems like my gastric is angry with me
Cause I seldom eat... I have this baaad life-style.
Now I'm sitting, typing.. still feeling unwell.
I skip today's class and I cannot wash my hair.

The only good thing is my boy.

Ahh today seems to be my lucky day!!!

I bought Tamagotchi for half-price

It's v5 !

I was wrong. I thought v5's the newest version.

I saw v6 this noon and it's really expensive. So I bought this instead!

I also bought one for ma copine's birthday gift. Really early, it's on 24th of april.

I'll buy one for ma petite-soeur next week, a gift of congratulation.

She's having national exams on monday. Wish her luck!

Ohh, one thing! My hamster's just given birth to 4 babies.

She's under 3 months old.. Her father is a jerk for doing this to her

But still I'm ecstatic!

Now I have 14 hamsters and I love them all.

Wow I've just seen and heard Tompi's newest single.
It's really heart-touching :)
I love it! *I always love his songs*

The title is "Tak Pernah Setengah Hati" (I use it for this post title)
Tompi is brilliant for making such sincere lyrics and really emotional music.
He even directed the music video.

Assignments, deadlines and stuffs are driving me crazy!
And I don't know if I can finish them all
